If your player stops responding, or if the internal speaker stops working,
you can reset the player. This should not cause you to lose any videos,
programs, pictures or audio tracks, unless you were in the middle of transferring
content.
To reset the player: gently push the end of a thin object (like a straightened
paperclip) into the Reset holelocated on the side of the unit. The PMC
should reboot at this point. If the player continues to not respond, connect
the PMC to your PC and format the unit.
To format a a ZEN Portable Media Center:
- Connect the player to your PC
- Open Windows Media Player 10.
- Click on the File button, CDs and Devices, and then click
on Synchronize.
- Select the ZEN Portable Media Player in the Device pane (if you have multiple
devices connected), and click on the Format storage media button
